The Charter School of Boynton Beach opened in 2001 for students in kindergarten through fifth grades. In 2004, under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), this Palm Beach County school was the only Title 1 Elementary Charter School in the county to meet the standards set for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). The curriculum highlights honors and college-prep courses and offers language classes in French, Japanese and Spanish. A technological emphasis has made Internet access available in 75 percent of the classrooms. The school boasts a 2004 Fulbright Scholar Teacher on its staff. The Charter School of Boynton Beach is close to I-95, and the Boynton Beach condos in Boynton Landing, Casablanca and Canyon Isles.
